Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT necessary to list your site in "Over 100 +" search engines. Do not get caught up in companies that promise they will list your site in "100's" of search engines for a monthly fee.

Let's explain: There are approximately 4 to 6 major search engines and directories that you need to be concerned about. Get your site listed in these 4 to 6 engines and the others ... well, they copy or "tag" off the major ones! It takes approximately, or up to, 90 days for all of them to "catch up" and copy, but they do. So beware of companies that make you the promise of submitting your site to 100's of engines and directories for a monthly fee. Most of these companies, including this one, will only list you in the top 4 to 6. There are companies that do legitmately list your site in 100's of engines, but they have a program that does this for them. Once they enter your site into their program, it automatically does the work for them. They don't actually sit and go through hundreds of engines for you. And a note about these programs; it could hurt your site because search engines know the difference and they don't like when a site is submitted by 3rd party programs. If you choose to do this, you can purchase the programs yourself and save 100's of dollars. We actually sit in front of a computer and manually list your site in the top 4 - 6 engines.

However, if you do hire someone to place your site in hundreds of search engines, only one time is enough; unless you are constantly changing your site. Rule of thumb: Once is enough unless you change your site's contents.
